Clean Air Counts
Leaders Bank is recognized by the Clean Air Counts initiative for improving air quality through the sustainable design of its new Naperville Banking Center. Jim Lynch, Leaders Bank President and CEO, proudly accepts the honor from Eve Pytel, Assistant Director of Clean Air Counts. The Naperville Banking Center, opened in August, was designed with a focus on green building and sustainability, with Energy Star-rated office equipment, energy-efficient lighting, natural landscape plantings and renewable wood products and construction materials. In addition, low-VOC paint, sealants and adhesives were used in the building's construction to ensure healthy air quality. At its September grand opening, Leaders Bank was awarded a recognition plaque in honor of its Platinum membership in Clean Air Counts. In achieving the prestigious Platinum level, Leaders Bank demonstrated the requirements of employing at least four pollution reduction strategies and four community outreach initiatives. Leaders is proud to stand with the individuals, organizations and businesses that make up Clean Air Counts, who are committed to making voluntary efforts to reduce smog in the Chicago region. The members of Clean Air Counts lead businesses and institutions in making a visible difference with smog reduction and sustainable economic development. The multi-year initiative is dedicated to achieving significant reductions in the pollutants that create smog, along with major reductions in energy consumption. |
